Art 447 was founded by Chuen, who had his own views about hairdressing. After a decade of experience in hairdressing he is ready to welcome you and offer the best experience. For him hairdressing is much more than just a job: it is a form of art where ways of expression can take many forms.
As you may have guessed, that is where the first part of the name comes from. Yet, there is another hidden meaning: it refers to article 447 from the Dutch criminal law that refers to rebels who refuse to follow the rules. This connects to the idea that the salon is a non-commercial space that values diversity, difference, out of the box thinking, while providing a cosy atmosphere for everyone to feel welcome.
